Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport
Your Christian Holyland Tour representative will greet you upon arrival and accompany you to your hotel in Tel Aviv.
Monday
Caesarea / Acre Megiddo / Haifa
Your tour begins with an early departure from Tel Aviv for a drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, the capital of Judea under the Romans. Here you'll visit the excavations of the ancient city, the Roman theatre and aqueduct and then continue to Megiddo, to visit the archeological excavations including the well-preserved water supply system. Your drive then continues to Haifa to see the Persian Gardens at the Bahai Shrine. From Haifa, you'll drive to Acre to visit the ancient city and harbor and then continue to Kibbutz Lavi for the night.
Tuesday
Tiberis / Capernaum / Banias
After a short tour of Tiberias, you'll take a boat ride to Capernaum and visit the remains of the 2nd century synagogue. Next, you'll head to Tabgha, the site of the "Miracle of Fish and Loaves" and visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th century mosaic floor and then to the Mount of Beatitudes, the place where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Last stop of the day is a drive to the Banias Springs and waterfalls and a tour of the Golan Heights. After that you'll return to Kibbutz Lavi for the night.
Wednesday
Nazareth / Beit Shean
Today you'll journey via Cana of Galilee to Nazareth to the Church of Annunciation, St. Joseph's workshop and Mary's Well. After that you'll continue your drive to Yardenit, the baptismal site on the Jordan River and then to Beit Shean, a newly excavated city, to visit the Roman theatre. The day ends with a wonderful drive along the Jordan River to Jerusalem where you'll be spending the night.
Thursday
Jerusalem: Old City
First off today you'll drive to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city, and visit the church of All Nations, King David's tomb and the room of Last Supper on Mt. Zion. Here you'll enter through the walls of the Old and visit the Cardo, Temple Mount (note that entrance to the mosques is not included), Western Wall, Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, and the oriental Bazaar. The day wraps up with a visit to the Garden Tomb and then back to your hotel in Jerusalem.
Friday
Jerusalem - New City and Bethlehem*
After a drive to Ein Kerem for a visit to the Church of Visitation, you'll proceed to Yad Vashem and visit the memorial to the Holocaust and the Israel Museum, Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed. You'll also visit the miniature model of Jerusalem as it was during the Second Temple period. From here you'll proceed to Bethlehem * to visit the Church of Nativity. You'll spend the night in Jerusalem.
Saturday
Massada / Dead Sea
After breakfast, you'll drive to Qumeran and visit the ancient city where the Dead Sea Scrolls where found. You're drive continues along the shore of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth, to Massada, the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D. Here you'll ascend the famous mountain by cable car and visit the food storerooms, water irrigation system and Herod's Palace. After that you'll return to Jerusalem for the night.
Sunday
Departure from Ben Gurion Airport
Your Chrisitan Holyland Tour representative will assist you in your transfer to Ben Gurion airport for your departure home.
